Finally starting the trek towards Manali. Packed up the bag and heading up to Bhimtal for the night. Trying to catch the Haldwant to Chandigarh bus at 6pm tomorrow. It's going to be a two day bus adventure just to get there.
Yeah, I brought a ton of stuff.. For this trip I brought the light pack so I can scout out trekking routes and just do day hikes, In a few weeks I will head back and pick up all the heavy gear, big boots, crampons, ice axe and overnight gear.
I just saw your other post about using USB dongle with 3G. If you have photoshop resize those suckers to 400px and save as 5-6 quality to limit the file sizes.
Do you have a pack list? I'm curious to see how much stuff you are lugging around.
